Red Dog Poker

red dog poker Red Dog PokerEvery casino has its own roots as well as its own objective. Red Dog Poker is an exciting card game that originated in the 11th century.

The game is a variant of acey-deucey or in-between. Red Dog Poker is built under the notion of the distance between two cards, considering the amount of cards laid between these two cards.

Considered as one of the oldest casino games in history, Red Dog has captured the hearts of many players especially the people in the Old West. While the game was quite a charm, it disappeared for some time. Today, it is now part of the game repertoire of most online casinos.

Red Dog Poker is an interesting game. It is quite easy to understand and even beginners can play this game. Unlike the game of blackjack, Red Dog Poker is definitely relaxing. If you want to have a good time, this is the perfect game for you! However, Red Dog is not offered in most land-based casinos, but you can enjoy the game in the own home.

How to Play Red Dog

Red Dog Poker is usually a game of chance. Unlike other card games where players’ skills are required, Red Dog Poker only requires luck and the possibility to have a best hand. The game is basically a banking game. Players will have to place their bets hoping that their cards are of the same suit and have higher values.

Red Dog Poker uses a 52 card deck. The players make their initial bets and the dealer will spread the deck of cards on the table. The game is all about the distances of two cards. For instance, the distance between 2 and 9 is 6.

The dealer will then pick two cards from the spread and place it on the table facing up. If the cards are in consecutive order, then the player’s bet is returned. On the other hand, if the two cards are equal, then the dealer will draw the third card.

If the third card is equivalent to the first two cards, then the player wins the game. However, if the third card is not equal to the first two cards, then the dealer will have to ask the players if they will raise or call the bet.

Raising means doubling the amount of money while call means sticking with the bet and moving on with the game. The dealer will then draw the third card. If the card is in between the first two cards, then the player wins. For example, you have 5 and 7. If the dealer draws a 6, then the player wins.

Although Red Dog Poker is not the big star in most casinos, this game is quite satisfying especially if you’re only seeking for tranquility. Red Dog Poker has something special to offer and you have to try it for yourself.
